Moonless Spring

 

It was good while it lasted 

However baneful it was 

However deranged I was 

However untrue you were 

Still you were my salvation 

You took pride in that 

A little too much 

You let the venom seep in as if you were the one orchestrating it 

I stood by in silence 

Watching, waiting in wretchedness 

Until I noticed 

The patterns 

It was like living the same month 

Every month 

The same catastrophe 

Every time it rained 

Until I couldn't watch and wait no more 

Until my mind begged to run off 

From the pit of poison 

However sweet it was

Troubled

 Troubled

So many of us
Living in places called home
A place where you are supposed to feel loved and cared for
A home free of violence and hatred
A home with no judgments
Yet here we are
Living in homes we want to escape
Dreaming of one day
Creating a place for our younger selves
Dreaming of caring and loving them
They way we should have been cared for and loved
They way we should have been protected from the danger lurking in our own home
We grew up too early
Some are still battling the nightmares
Some are learning to let it go
Some, like me, are creating pieces of art
For others like me
Or is it that we wanna care and love our younger self ?

Unremembered

I gaze at the door of memories 

Of us 

I remember stashing away the keys
Somewhere i couldn't find, reach
Yet somehow i do
I stand still wondering
Do i wanna go through this path again
For days, months,  years
I have relived the pain again and again
For days, weeks, months
I convinced my mind not to wander through that hallway again
Yet here i am
Gazing at the door of memories
Of us
Again
But this time
Is different
Instead of unlocking it
I hold the keys
And walk away

Welcome To My Blog!

 

Hey guys! My name is Priyanshi Shahi. I am a 17 years old humanities student studying in ISC board who likes reading, art, coffee, stars, rain, winter mornings, summer afternoons, rainy nights and much more! I am based in Mumbai and have a joint family.

One talent that I wish I had in me but don't is being able to sing. Singing is something very intimate and personal to me. The emotions of singers in their songs is something very exclusive yet evident.

I have always wanted to express myself on the internet and create something where it might hold value but never found a suitable platform to do so. Recently I came across the idea of blogging and thought this might be something right up my alley. Granted that I am agitated, I am also exhilarated to start this journey.

I am planning to blog about lifestyle and a bunch of random stuff. My blog will include topics such as my experiences, things that I am passionate about, poems and more.

Here's a poem I wrote that summarizes who I am as a person. 

        Little Things

I keep loving things, people
People who don't exist
People I create for my own world
Skies, sunsets, songs and stars 
Sight of milk mixing in black coffee
Smell of flowers
Of people wearing perfumes
Of books old
Of cottages in wild
Abandoned letters
Arts and talents
Voices and twirls
People who compliment me
Without even knowing me
Everyday I fall in love
Be it pictures or pretty dresses
A flower or a puppy
Everyday I find love
